[Review] REVLON ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze: #505 Neverending Nude

Mom bought me this few months ago. She knew that I’m such a diehard fan of nude lipstick and lip gloss, lip glaze, lip creme, etc. I just love how I keep my lip in natural color daily. Anyway, this is the very first time for me to try this REVLON ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze: #505 Neverending Nude, (I tried other kind of lip glosses products from Revlon). This product came with a curvy hour glass-shape bottle and the doe foot applicator. It’s nothing really special from the packaging, but I was curious with mineral ingredients on it.

Here’s the swatch! Well, the color is slightly looks more coral/orange nude, and somehow I feel this  color way too orange for my skin. So didn’t wear this too often. Maybe just 2-3 times. (I’m sure Mom just randomly bought without even gave this product any try or swatch, huhu…but thanks, Mom!) If you have brighter & fairer skin than me, I’m sure this color looks better on ya! 😉 By the name “lip glaze” I was expecting something glossy and will give my lip “glazy” look with a little glitter on it, but I was surprised! ’cause the texture is more like semi-matte lip creme instead of lip gloss. This product is similar with NYX lip creme. (the swatch might look a little shiny, it wasn’t a glossy effect but more like reflection of the wetness).

I really love this product’s texture, which is less sticky and kind of long lasting. Even after 4-5 hours (eat & drink activities included), the color still remains about 60%. Still left lip stain on the glass or spoon, but it’s still ok and need no retouch. What a good formula. 😀 And the color also very intense, just put a little amount of this lip glaze…then spread spread spread using the applicator, then the color will evenly covered your lip very well.

revlon-colorstay-mineral-lipglaze-review-02

This is how this product looks like when I applied on my lip. Sorry about the picture quality, the real and more accurate swatch is the one i tried in my hand. This picture was taken outdoor with my cell phone’s camera. I swear the real color wasn’t this shiny.  😀

revlon-colorstay-mineral-lipglaze-review-04

Pros: Love the “lip creme look alike” texture and the long lasting formula. Has very intense color.

Cons: I think they should improve the long lasting formula, so won’t left stain on the glass/spoon/clothes, etc.

I don’t know about the price since it was a gift, hehe. But I’m sure this product costs more expensive than other Revlon lip glosses products.

Catch me later on the next post! Love ya! 😉

[Review] Viva Queen Eye Base Gel – affordable Indonesian product eyeshadow primer!

Hihihi…yeah I’ve been living under a rock with Patrick Star for all this time! 🙂

Ceritanya sebulanan lalu pas belanja di Hypermart, ternyata lagi ada semacam demo make-up/free make over dari Viva gitu. Hehehe… Secara saya belum pernah punya eyeshadow base/primer, kenapa enggak dibeli aja? waktu tanya informasi harga ke SPG-nya, saya sempet shock, ternyata harganya cuma sekitar 10 ribu sekian rupiah. Gilaaaa murah banget! *jaw dropped*

viva-eyebase-gel-review

Begini kira-kira penampakan produknya (maap. udah agak belepotan kemasannya, kena tangan kotor abis ngerias orang! :D). Dikemas dalam tube kecil ukuran 15 gram. Tapiii berhubung pakenya sedikit-sedikiiiittt banget jadi ini habisnya bakal bertahun-tahun. Udah murah, hemat banget lagi pakainya. Syukurlah expiry date-nya masih sampai 2016. 😀

Di belakang kemasan sudah disertai cara pemakaiannya. Standard sih cara pakainya, sama seperti eyeshadow base/primer lainnya. Tinggal oles dan tepuk-tepuk kelopak mata dab dab dab…, biarkan 2 menitan sampai terserap sempurna oleh kulit, lalu apply eyeshadow seperti biasa.

Image

Cara pakainya kudu bener-bener sedikiiiiit seperti foto di atas ya, soalnya kalau kebanyakan/ketebelan apply primer-nya, jadi lebih makan waktu lama keringnya. (saya orangnya suka nggak sabaran, nunggu kering 2 menitan aja berasa lama haha!) Udah gitu tekstur gel-nya ringan & nggak lengket.

Sekarang saatnya “smudge test”. Tanpa kita sadari, kadang kita mengucek mata pas lagi pakai make up dan mengakibatkan eyeshadow/eyeliner jadi berantakan. See? Super good quality!!! 😀

Image

(left: over eye base/primer | right: without eye base/primer. Eyeshadow I used for this test: Half Baked – NAKED2 by Urban Decay)

Pros: awesome formula, super good quality with unbelievably cheap price!!! (under 15K IDR.)

Cons: NONE! 😀

Repurchase? Sure! Tapi nunggu ini abis…mungkin sekitar taun 2014-2015-an hihi!

So, stop underestimating!

Mwah! :*

[FOTD] Tropical Mermaid look with Too Faced Summer Eyes palette

too-faced-summer-eyes-01

Aloha!

Do you still remember, what’s your favorite fairy tale or who’s your favorite Disney’s Princess when you were little? or are you girls just like me, who’s still watching Disney’s channel until now? (I am 26, but still love to watch Disney’s channel. Until now! :D) Well, Little Mermaid will always be my favorite fairy tale and Ariel is my favorite Disney’s Princess ever. Why? because I think a mermaid is an extra ordinary creature, she’s strong; can survive in both water and land, she’s brave, she’s playful, but in other side, she’s feminine and lovely too! In other stories about mermaid, she fought for love and sacrificed herself for someone she loved too. Aww!

Mermaid usually described as long haired princess, with human body and fish tail. But don’t forget that mermaid is kind of amazingly so into fashion creature too, she wears seashell as her bra, starfish as hairpin, and pearls as her jewelry. Sometimes I wish that mermaids were real… Aha! Why not try to turn yourself into one of this inspiring creatures? 😉

This is my very 1st #FOTD on this blog, and inspired by the mermaid fairy tales. This look called “Tropical Mermaid”, represents a mermaid who really loves enjoying sunsets in an exotic tropical beach while exposing her beautiful tanned human skin. I wear Too Faced Summer Eyes palette for this look, but I broke the Glamour Guide – well, rules are meant to be broken, right? :p ’cause I really love doing more experiment with colors. This look combined natural brown lid with pearly pink highlight and gold-blue lower lash line. I also added an extra “statement” for this look by creating “fish tail” with black liquid eyeliner. It’s easy to apply, if you ever done double winged-eyeliner before, I’m sure you can do this too! For tutorial you can see the steps on the picture below. 😉

Too Faced Summer Eyes tutorial

To get more into an exotic Tropical Mermaid look, use bronzer to contour your face and to give extra glow. For your lip, you can wear coral/nude lipstick and coat it with clear lip gloss to get the “wet look” lip. No need extra effort hair do for this look, just naturally untie your hair and show its natural texture and volume. Last, you can put pearl/flower/shell-embellished hair pin! Now you’re done! This look is very easy to follow and I think also wearable, ’cause the eye make up still looks natural as well, but with an extra “statement”! Anyway, I used Too Faced Summer Eyes-replica, but if you own the original one and want try this tutorial, I’m sure your look will be much much better than mine! So, are you ready to live a day as an exotic Tropical Mermaid? 🙂

See ya! 😉

Why get NAKED all over again? Which NAKED Palette series suits you best?

naked3

NAKED Palette is the best selling palette series ever from Urban Decay. I’m sure almost every woman in the world ever put at least one of the series in their wish list. This palette also became must-have-items in every make-up lover’s vanity cases for the last 3 years. The big issues lately are about the brand new NAKED3 Palette with it’s 12 never-before-seen rose gold-hued colors. Why more NAKED series from Urban Decay? ’cause women just never get enough about neutral colors. This brilliant idea also followed by other make-up line by launched their neutral colors palette.

These palette also getting better and better at the packaging. The original NAKED came in a dark velvety case, which is more simple look. Less is more. While NAKED2 came with taupe-metal color tin case (represents this series, taupe-hued colors), with NAKED2 embossed logo which is more sturdy and will make your eye shadows safer. The brand new NAKED3 came with the same tin case like the previous series NAKED2, but it has more luxurious look. The rose gold tin represents the pinkish rosy gold-hued of this series, and something interesting about this palette is the tin case’s surface, reminds me of Tim Tam chocolate sandwich biscuit. LOL. Now, I’m craving for doing Tim Tam slam!

naked3-palette

Okay. We all know these palette series always this tempting. It’s like almost every woman says “OMG…I want this so bad!” each time Urban Decay launched the new series. But is it necessary for us to own them all? Well, if you have much money to spend and can afford all those 3 palette, why not? But if you have lower budget, I don’t think you have to force yourself to buy them all. I did that too, I yelled “OMG…I want thissss!”. I own NAKED2, but I don’t know yet if I will buy another 2 of this series, ’cause actually NAKED2 just not really look good on my skin. 😦 Well, Urban Decay understand that their palettes are not cheap, ’cause price represents qualities. Urban Decay’s palettes well known as good products with Pigment Infusion System™, which is very pigmented, build-able and blend-able colors. So, if we have to choose which  NAKED series that suits our skin best, actually Urban Decay give us a little hint for that  by launched each palette in different dominant hue.

naked3-palette-01

Take a look at the picture above. I think it’s clear for everyone to know and choose which NAKED that suits on our skin best. The original NAKED is dominant with bronze neutrals color, which will look best on warm undertone skin. While NAKED2 dominant with taupe neutrals and some silver-greyish color which I’m sure it will look best on pale princess with cool undertone skin, and people who love to wear smokey look a lot! See? I own the “wrong” NAKED series, I should ‘ve bought the original NAKED that might suits my skin better. The brand new NAKED3 is dominant with rose gold and pinkish color, even the darker color on this palette has rosy-red micro glitters – thing that made me craving for this palette most! I think this color just brilliant and adorable! I love pink, but I’m not the kind of girls who wear pink eye shadow. Pink never look good on my brownie-tanned Asian skin. Maybe other Asian princess with more yellowish skin and have neutral undertone will be able to wear this. 🙂 This is why very important to know your skin’s undertone, so you won’t spent your money to buy “wrong” make-up palette or have “Products I regret to buy list”. So, have you decide yet? Which NAKED Palette series suits you best? 😉

[Review] Too Faced Summer Eyes – replica

So, 4 days ago I bought Too Faced Summer Eyes palette. But this one is the replica. We can’t deny that fake/counterfeit/replica products all around us. You can find it everywhere, even on eBay or Amazon. Fake products nowadays come with many premium brands, not only M.A.C, but now also Urban Decay, Benefit, and this Too Faced. I saw many beauty blogger/vlogger that reviewed some counterfeit products, and I don’t think those fake products are that bad. Some of them even recommended us to buy the counterfeit because it costs way cheaper with almost /same quality just like the authentic one. Well, since I saw other blogger/vlogger put those premium authentic products as “Products I regret to buy”, so I think it’s okay to buy the replica.

There are some things you should notice that replica products might contain toxic or other bad chemicals that might harm your skin. But since so many people use replica products and they’re skin just all alright, so personally I don’t really worry about that. But if you have sensitive skin, better avoid to use the products, cause we never knew what the exact ingredients of those fake products. Duplication/piracy also a crime. If you concern about this, then don’t buy. So, all it’s up to you, keep your opinion for your own. Don’t judge people who bought fake things, they have their own reason to buy. 😀

Ok, back to this product! I found the seller months ago, when they started to sell this fake palette in $15, but I waited for reprice. Reprice, reprice, reprice, until now the final price $4. LOL. At least the seller is the honest one, if this is a replica, they will say replica. Some seller in Amazon even worse, they said they sell authentic product, but the fact they sent the replica. Okay, now let’s check this product!

too-faced-summer-eyes-review-replica-01

Seeing any differences? The packaging is just exactly same with the original, with that adorable embossed tin case & the Glamour Guide. I just can’t stand those seashell, pearl, flower, and starfish print with blue ocean background at the tin case. Oh-So-Lovely! This is my weakness. I can’t ever resist cute packaging…who can? Maybe if you look a little closer you might find some typo lettering, like in card box written “© 2013″ while in the tin case written ” © 2012″, and some other missed type.  But who cares? :p

too-faced-summer-eyes-review-replica-02

Now, let’s see how it looks like at the inside… Taa daa! Once you opened the case, you can see that the colors are slightly different with the authentic one. Especially the Mermaid. Mermaid should be in muted teal/aqua color, not electric blue just like that. But after the swatch, the electric blue color turns out softer. I dislike the Plumeria most. 1st, the pink metalic color just never suits my skin. 2nd, this color has too much flakey glitter and way too powdery. Fall out here and there, even left glitter on my cheek which is kinda hard to remove. Pfff.

Cocoa Sand also has glitter, but not as bad as Plumeria. My favorite colors from this palette are Chocolate Sun, it also contains micro glitters, but the color just lovely, help me to create deep brown natural (very natural! I thought it would be smokey) crease shade. I also love Toasted Coconut, give me natural naked eyes look and blend perfectly with my skin tone. For the pinkish tone, I go for Seashell instead of Plumeria. I’m curious with the previous edition of this palette, with the “Sugar Sand” which now replaced by Seashell. Actually this palette lauched for summer look, but I think the colors still wearable for the whole year (Since Indonesia have the whole-year-summer, so I really mean it “the whole year” haha). But please avoid those glittery shades for school/work daily make up. Over all, I said “YAY” for the matte & sateen finished colors and “BIG NAY” for the flakey-powdery-glittery colors. You can see the color swatches on the picture below:

too-faced-summer-eyes-review-replica-03

(click the image for larger & actual pic size, I hate the way this theme can’t automatically adjust the page width 😦 !)

In the box written “to ensure you’ll be transformed into a tantalizing tropical tease!” I expected this palette will suits on warm undertone skin like mine. But why some colors just don’t even want to show up on my tropical tanned skin? :p Well, I think this palette will be more suits on people with cool undertone skin.

Pros: The packaging is too die for! and since this very cheap $4, I didn’t regret to buy. 😀 Some colors also quite pigmented and adorable, especially those chocolate and blue shades!

Cons: Some colors (especially Plumeria & Cocoa Beach) have too much flakey glitters on it. Not micro glitter, but big flakey glitter. Fall out everywhere and poor pigmentation. Even more suits for cool undertone skin.

Overal rate: 4.5/10

P.S.: Well, sometimes buying a fake/counterfeit make-up is not a sin, it’s actually for your knowledge too, cause this will help you to recognize and be more into details about any products. Some fake/counterfeit products are not that bad, some have exactly same quality with the authentic one. It’s better regret buying “bad quality” fake/counterfeit product, than regret after buying the authentic but the product just don’t suit your skin, right? :p

I’ll do some looks with this palette. I’ll post later. See ya! 😉

[Recipe] How to make Sleeping Rilakkuma Omurice Bento

I’ve been eye-ing on some bento tutorials and tools lately, and really wish to try at least one bento-set. Well, Kawaii things always worth more money, you know that bento tools are kind of pricey here cause those things are all imported from Japan. Today, I finally tried the easiest (no need any bento tools) bento tutorial from Youtube. Omurice is Japanese omelette fried rice. This recipe is one of popular Japanese dish which is very fast and easy to cook. Rilakuma also a quite famous character (even not as famous as Hello Kitty), but this teddy bear is cute though. This recipe inspired by Ochikeron and Kawaii Kakkoi Sugoi ‘s channel. I combined both recipes from them to create my own Sleeping Rilakuma Omurice.

Ingredients: (serving 1)

level: even more difficult than I think! Pfff -___-

200 grams – rice, cooked

2 – eggs

1 tbsp – all purpose flour

50 ml – water

1/2 – onion, minced

1 tsp – salt

1 tsp – shoyu

1/2 tsp – pepper

2 tbsp – tomato sauce

oil to fried the eggs and rice

1 cheese slice and a little nori and extra tomato sauce, for decorative purpose

a little mayonnaise, use as glue

100% patience (LOL)

How to make:

1. Mix all purpose flour with water well. Beat 2 eggs, pour the flour-water mixture into the eggs, you can season with salt & pepper, or just let it plain. Mix well.

2. Put a little oil into a flat fry pan, fry the eggs. You can make it 2 batch, so you will get 2 omelette. 1 for Rilakuma’s blanket, you can use another one for pillow, or just make 2 blanket, just in case you flunked. Put the omelette aside.

3. Put a little oil into the fry pan again, add the onion, wait about 2 minutes until tender and smells good, then add rice, tomato sauce, shoyu, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Stir again about 3 minutes, then put the rice aside, and let it rest and cool down.

4. This next step requires 100% or more patience. Really. If you have any bento tools like rice mold or decorative nori puncher, then you’re lucky. Use them. But if you don’t have any bento tools (just like me!), then you have no option, just make everything manually. Ok, now take a cheese slice and make one circle with 2 cm diameter (for Rilakuma’s nose), next make another one circle with 1 cm diameter, divide into two (for Rilakuma’s ears). You can use a toothpick to make circles from the cheese. Next, take a nori sheet, use a scissor make two 1 cm nori strips (for Rilakuma’s eyes), and make “Y” pattern (for Rilakuma’s nose).

5. After the rice became cool. Make two rice balls (as big as tennis ball) from the rice (for Rilakuma’s head and body), you can use rice mold or just use your hand with plastic to shape it. Make another 2 smaller balls from the rice (for Rilakuma’s ears). Last, make a cylinder (5 cm lenght) from the rice (for Rilakuma’s arm). Make sure you make all the Rilakuma’s body parts as solid as you can, I broke the head and ears balls over 3-4 times! It’s like the rice just couldn’t stick to each other if you don’t use any rice mold! Hwaaa T.T

6. Now it’s time to decorate! Put the head and body rice balls on a serving plate, followed by putting both ears. For the “top ear”, you need to flatten a bit the bottom of the rice ball, use a little mayonnaise as glue to make the ear stay on top, then put the arm next to the head. Now. take 1 omelette, cover Rilakuma’s body & arm with it. Roll a bit the top of the omelette, to make the blanket looks more realistic, and showed 1/4 part of Rilakuma’s body & arm. Next, put the nose & ears cheese-pattern to the head, use a little mayonnaise as glue. Last, put the nori eyes and the nose. Draw any pattern on the blanket or write any message you like on the plate with tomato sauce. You can add extra decorations from chicken nuggets, crab sticks, sausages, or vegetables.

7. Now it’s done! Don’t forget to take some pics of your masterpiece. Itadakimasu! …but, I bet you don’t even want to eat this…cause this bento is just too cute to be true! ❤

rilakuma-omurice

(Actually I really want to write about the step-by-step tutorial for this, but I was just too busy and concentrate on this. so…no time to take a pic! 😦 Next time I’ll ask my brother to help me with the pictures and better camera (this only a cell phone’s cam), so I don’t have to wash-dry-wash-dry my hands every time hahaha)

Resep Klappertaart (No-baked)

I’m a big fan of dessert, terutama pudding & ice cream.

Bahan:

500 ml – susu cair

2 butir – telur

50 gram – butter, melted

100 gram – gula pasir

50 gram – terigu

1 sdm – maizena

1 sdt – vanillie bubuk

1/4 sdt – essense rhum (optional)

1 butir – daging kelapa muda, kerok dengan serutan blewah

50 gram – kismis

kayu manis bubuk – ayak, untuk taburan

Cara membuat:

1. Siapkan wadah/baskom.

4. Dinginkan 4-6 jam di dalam lemari es. Sajikan dingin! 😀
